Here’s the latest on Halle according to Deadline Hollywood. P.S. The gallery will be updated by next week with all 2011 images in it!
Could Halle Berry be doing a TV series? TV industry people are buzzing this afternoon about a hot drama spec that has Halle Berry attached to star. Word is the spec, titled Higher Learning, was sent out today to pay cable networks, with HBO and Showtime among those targeted. I hear that the project, from DreamWorks TV, is eying a quick turnaround, and a decision could come as early as tomorrow. The script, which I hear would have the Oscar winner starring as a college professor, was written by 30-year industry veteran Lee Rose. A queen of TV movies in their heyday during the 1990s, Rose segued to episodic directing over the past 10 years. She also co-ran with Martha Kauffman the WB series Related.
It has been reported via multiple outlets that due to personal reasons involving her daughter and a possible custody situation Halle had to drop out of New Year’s Eve.
Halle Berry has dropped out of a film to prepare for a custody fight for her daughter.
The Oscar-winning actress (for 2001’s Monster’s Ball) was scheduled to film New Year’s Eve this week in New York, but pulled out “due to pending custody litigation involving her daughter,” her rep said in a statement. Katherine Heigl will replace her, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Berry and model Gabriel Aubry, who split in April after four years of dating, have a nearly 3-year-old daughter, Nahla. In December, Aubry filed papers seeking joint custody and to be formally recognized as Nahla’s father.
“Halle has serious concerns for her daughter’s well-being while in the care of her father for any extended period of time and is prepared to take all necessary steps to protect her,” her rep said. “She has attempted to resolve these custody issues amicably with her daughter’s father, Gabriel Aubry, directly, but given his lack of cooperation, Halle has no choice but to seek swift judicial intervention.”
A date for the custody hearing was not revealed.
“Halle has always made the needs and safety of her daughter her first priority and, both while Halle and Gabriel were a couple and since their break-up, Halle has only acted in her daughter’s best interest,” her rep added. [Source]
Various media outlets are reporting that Halle will be presenting at this year’s award ceremony along with Hollywood’s elite.
Halle Berry, Jeff Bridges, Sandra Bullock, Marisa Tomei and Oprah Winfrey will be presenters at the 83rd annual Academy Awards in February, producers Bruce Cohen and Don Mischer announced Monday.
The first presenters announced for the ceremony have plenty of Oscar history between them. Bridges and Bullock won Best Actor and Best Actress awards last year. Berry won Best Actress in 2001 for “Monster’s Ball.” Tomei won the award for Best Supporting Actress for “My Cousin Vinny” in 1992, while Winfrey was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for “The Color Purple” in 1985, and was an executive producer on 2009 Best Picture nominee “Precious.”
More presenters are expected to be announced.
The 83rd annual Academy Awards will be presented on Feb. 27 and broadcast live on ABC. [Source]
According to The Hollywood Reporter Halle Berry & Zac Efron are the latest stars to be in talks with joining the all-star cast.
Sarah Jessica Parker is set to join New Line’s New Year’s Eve, while Halle Berry, fresh off her Golden Globe nomination for Frankie and Alice, and Zac Efron are in negotiations to also join the all-star cast.
The movie tells intertwining stories of a group of New Yorkers as they navigate their way through bittersweet drama and romance over the course of New Year’s Eve.
Parker is playing Breslin’s mom, someone who relies too much on her daughter for company.
If a deal makes, Berry will play a caterer who runs into a former flame. Efron is on track to play a bike messenger who ends up trying to fulfill Pfeiffer’s New Year’s Eve resolutions in exchange for tickets to a big party. [Source]
We’ll keep you updated if a deal is made.
I’ve uploaded 5 stills of Halle as Dorothy Dandridge in the movie biopic Introducing Dorothy Dandridge. I’ll add the previews below and then a link to the gallery as well. Enjoy.

On CNN right now you can watch the special Big Stars, Big Giving about stars who have a passion for giving back.
Halle Berry, Justin Beiber, Nicole Kidman, Julianne Moor, and Edward Norton are interviewed about the causes and charities they’re involved with and how people can become involved.
So make sure you check it out! We’ll have captures for sure!
This site will finally be updated and restored to its once beautiful glory when Connie was the maintainer of it. There’s just a few things that I will NOT be doing and there’s also a few things I will be doing.
1. I’m purging the affiliates, I’m in the midst of doing that right now. There are about more than 90% of the Elite affiliates listed that will be purged because they are not linking back to this site. So why should I?
2. Candids – I will continue to post them but they will NOT include Nahla. Why the previous webmaster did that we’ll never know. You can clearly see that she & Halle do not like the paparazzi around her… she’s visibly upset when she notices them around her and really who wants to see that? So if candids are posted in the gallery they will only include Halle.
3. The Gallery – I’ve taken it off of registration so it is once again open to everyone. I’ll be updating this past year’s events as we lead into the new year 2011!
4. Comments – Rudecomments will NOT be accepted. Simply have respect, if you don’t like Halle then one needs to ask themselves… why are you here?
if I think of anything else I’ll be sure to post it.
I’m looking at my guide currently and to my surprise I see that Halle will be a guest on The Jay Leno Show tonight! The sketch show airs at 10 p. EST on NBC – so please check your local TV Guide channel for the station and time!
It seems like Congratulations are in order for Halle Berry & Gabriel Aubry, the pair are said to be expecting baby No. 2!
Halle Berry suffered through the disappointment of more than 30 negative pregnancy tests before finally learning she was expecting her first child, Nahla, in 2007. Luckily, she’s had more success with her follow-up attempts to have a baby: Life & Style can exclusively reveal that the actress, who turned 43 on Aug. 14, is three months pregnant with her second child.
“Halle is overjoyed,” says an insider close to Halle and the baby’s father, model Gabriel Aubry. “The first time, she struggled so much to get pregnant and eventually conceived through in vitro fertilization. This time, the baby was conceived through artificial insemination.”
“She’s just ecstatic to be pregnant again,” the insider tells Life & Style. “She wasn’t sure if she’d have another baby, so she’s very happy!” A rep for Halle didn’t respond to a request for comment.

Halle Berry stuns the May cover of Harper’s Bazaar! I’ll be adding the cover and a photoshoot image from the editorial to the gallery in a bit since I’m having a little trouble adding it manually for you all to see. So never fear, plus once the magazine becomes available we will have scans for you to view!
Here are some excerpts:
On how she and Gabe keep the romance in their relationship: “I have a 33-year-old man. That’ll keep your mojo mojo-in’.”
On moms who don’t workout and her own post-baby body: “God bless them if they’re telling the truth. It’s questionable if they are. I always had to diet. I’m diabetic, so it’s a lifestyle for me anyway just to stay healthy and not end up in the hospital. Having a baby takes so much from you. It’s the most glorious thing you’ll ever do, but the aftermath is not so glorious! So now I’m having to exercise, eat a little bit differently, take a lot more vitamins.”
On her guilty pleasure: “I like Doritos. I’m usually watching The Biggest Loser eating Doritos.”
On being a new working mom: “I used to work a lot because I had nothing better to do. What I’ve learned, especially by having a baby, is that you can’t bring that stuff home anymore. For example, I was alone filming ‘Monster’s Ball.’ I was married to someone else, and he wasn’t really around much. Thank God that was only a 20-day shoot.”
