Jamie Foxx’s steamy kiss with Halle Berry was a joke
Washington (ANI): Actor Jamie Foxx has put wandering minds to rest by saying that his steamy kiss with Halle Berry at a recent awards ceremony was just a joke. The actor had raised eyebrows when he shared a passionate kiss with the former Bond girl, after presenting her with the Hottest Girl On the Planet Award at Spike TV’s second Annual Guy’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles.
Foxx further confessed that he was a bundle of nerves before pulling the prank. “I almost froze but I said, ‘Think quick Foxx,’ and I got into it… she really gave it to me and I appreciate that,” he said.
Whoopi Goldberg: One day Halle Berry will look like me
Whoopi Goldberg believes Halle Berry will eventually be her double.
The actress made her prediction after her own fashion sense was mocked.
‘I got lambasted in the New York press for dressing like a bag lady recently,’ she tells The Sunday Telegraph.
‘Know what I did? I took the papers on my show and tore ‘em up on camera. No one, but no one has the right to criticise my look.
‘You know I get pretty fed up with this obsession we all seem to have about women actors having to be young and pretty.
‘Ok, I don’t look like Halle Berry,’ she says. ‘I’m 53 for God’s sake. But one day she sure as hell will look like me’.
Film festival pulls Berry
Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry will walk the red carpet when the 12th Shanghai International Film Festival kicks off at the Shanghai Grand Theater on June 13, officials said yesterday.
Berry received the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in “Monster’s Ball” in 2002 and starred in the 20th James Bond film “Die Another Day.”
Celebrities on the red carpet at the opening ceremony will also include British actor Hugh Grant, French actress Isabelle Huppert and Hollywood star Willem Dafoe.
Chinese guests will include Hong Kong star Aaron Kwok, mainland film maker He Ping and actresses Zhou Xun and Fan Bingbing.
More than 40 domestic film production teams will attend the festival to promote movies still in production, such as Wilson Yip’s kung fu flick “Ip Man 2″ and Ning Hao’s comedy “No-Man Zone.”
“More than 300 movie stars from home and abroad will attend the festival’s grand opening,” said Tang Lijun, an official from the festival’s organizing committee.
Due to the large number of stars, the red carpet show would be extended from one hour to one and a half. It will be broadcast live on the local Art Channel and East Movie Channel from 6:30pm on June 13.
Festival tickets went on sale at 25 theaters across the city today. Prices range from 30 yuan (US$4.40) to 60 yuan.
During the festival, which runs until June 21, there will be nearly 300 domestic and foreign films shown, including recent works such as “Wall-E,” “Rachel Getting Married,” and retrospectives of suspense film master Alfred Hitchcock and South Korean film maker Im Kwon-taek.

Halle Berry in talks for ‘Surrogate’
Halle Berry is in talks to star in “The Surrogate” for 20th Century Fox.
The move follows Paul Verhoeven’s boarding to develop and direct the thriller, which Ralph Winter is producing along with Deborah Giarratana, Robin Guthrie and Susana Zepeda.
Based on the 2004 book by Kathryn Mackel, the story centers on a couple desperate to have a child who find themselves in an unbearable position when they find out the surrogate they hired to carry their baby is insane.
Berry is interested in the part and Fox is keen to have her do it, though official dealmaking has yet to begin.
Berry would play the wife who wants to have the child.
The actress, repped by ICM and Vincent Cirrincione, starred as Storm in Fox’s “X-Men” movies and last toplined 2007′s “Things We Lost in the Fire.”
Halle Berry & Jamie Foxx: Kissing Commotion

Halle Berry is honored with the Decade of Hotness award at Spike TV’s 2009 “Guys Choice” Awards held at the Sony Studios on Saturday (May 30) in Los Angeles.
The 42-year-old actress wore a sexyt black Riller & Fount “Devi” drape front halter mini dress.
During the ceremony, Halle had a very special moment with Jamie Foxx, who was on hand to present the award to Halle.
Jamie thanked Halle by kissing her on the lips and giving her a nice squeeze on her tush. Looks like they both really enjoyed it!
Halle Berry is not among the most beautiful women
Maxim mag claims to compile “the definitive list of the world’s most beautiful women”, but how can it be without Halle Berry?
Ask any black man who is his dream girl and the X-Men and Catwoman star is usually named. Jamie Foxx recently found out that Berry was touched by his performance in The Soloist and he responded that Berry is the reason he makes movies. And on Access Hollywood earlier this week, ER’s Mekhi Phifer told Mario Lopez that Berry is the woman he’d most like to bed.
So what’s with the snub on the latest Maxim 100 that was released this month?
Halle Berry: I should never marry again
Halle Berry says her two failed marriages have taught her a valuable lesson.
The actress, 42, split with David Justice in 1996.
And she divorced Eric Benet in 2005, after he checked himself into a clinic for sex addiction.
‘I’ve learned that I should never marry again,’ reveals Halle. ‘It’s just not for me.’
But Halle, who now has one-year-old daughter Nahla with partner Gabriel Aubry, 33, reckons she’s become a stronger person.
‘I’ve not been lucky with the men in my life, until now,’ she says.
‘All I can say is that, although I won’t marry again, I feel more married to Gabriel than I did to my ex-husbands. We’re good together.’
Lonely Halle Berry made friends online
The actress finds fame lonely, and used websites to meet people and have “normal” conversations, away from Hollywood.
“I never went so far as a date. But I’ve gone online and pretended to be someone else, in an attempt to have some anonymity,” the Daily Express quoted her as saying.
“I’ve tried, many times, to have a normal conversation when celebrity wasn’t a part of it. Sometimes it worked and at others it became a little weird.
“The reason I did it was I wanted to remember what it was like to have a real, honest exchange with someone and to be treated normally,” she added.
Halle Wants To Be Normal
Halle Berry refuses to bow to the pressures of the paparazzi — because she wants to be able leave her house looking “normal”.
The actress says she doesn’t care if she ends up on the worst-dressed lists because she doesn’t wear make-up.
“All these paparazzi are just out of control, it has added a new pressure,” she says. “When you just want to go out and be a normal person you get put on that bad clothes list. Or it’s like, ‘Look, she’s got a zit,’ and they zero in on it. Or it’s, ‘Look, she’s got cellulite,’ and they zero in on that.
“They make you feel like you can’t go out and be a normal girl. I try to resist it and go out without my make-up even though I know I am going to be on that list.”
