Finally I’ve gotten the video section of the site up and running! There’s really not much there right now but with time there’ll be loads of great Halle videos there. So far I have added the two most recent interviews at The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Ellen Degeneres Show from March 2009.

Lionel Richie has a soft spot for actress Halle Berry.

The singer, who is twice divorced, reckons they have a connection.

‘I’ve had a crush on Halle Berry forever,’ he says. ‘I’ve known her for years and we’re great friends.

‘But she knows I have a thing for her. I’m sure she absolutely feels the same!’

Lionel, 59, has son Myles, 14, daughter Sofia, 10, with his ex-wife Diane Alexander, and adopted daughter Nicole Richie, 27 with his first wife Brenda Harvey.

Halle Berry has hit out at fellow celebrities who claim to stay slim without exercising, calling them liars.

The actress says she has had to work hard to keep her good figure and insists it is the same for most women.

She told Harper’s Bazaar magazine: “God bless them if they’re telling the truth. It’s questionable if they are.

“I always had to diet. I’m diabetic, so it’s a lifestyle for me anyway just to stay healthy and not end up in the hospital.”

We’re happy to hear at least one celeb telling the truth and proving that stars are human after all. We all know the best way to loose weight is eating healthily and exercising so it’s a shame fellow celebs can’t admit to leading a healthy lifestyle.

I had a bit of catching up to do since Halle has been quite busy these past few weeks; shopping, going to birthday parties, getting her hair done, visiting Jay Leno, going to the opening of Alexandra Hedison’s ITHAKA and then Qua has also added the gorgeous Harper’s Bazaar cover and outtake.

Magazine Scans: Harper’s BAZAAR [May 2009]

Sorry for dissapearing, I had some unexpected computer problems and have been unable to update my sites. I’m back together with my laptop so updates from my side will return tomorrow! I got loads to add.

Halle Berry stuns the May cover of Harper’s Bazaar!  I’ll be adding the cover and a photoshoot image from the editorial to the gallery in a bit since I’m having a little trouble adding it manually for you all to see.  So never fear, plus once the magazine becomes available we will have scans for you to view!

Here are some excerpts:

On how she and Gabe keep the romance in their relationship:  “I have a 33-year-old man.  That’ll keep your mojo mojo-in’.”

On moms who don’t workout and her own post-baby body:  “God bless them if they’re telling the truth. It’s questionable if they are. I always had to diet. I’m diabetic, so it’s a lifestyle for me anyway just to stay healthy and not end up in the hospital. Having a baby takes so much from you. It’s the most glorious thing you’ll ever do, but the aftermath is not so glorious!  So now I’m having to exercise, eat a little bit differently, take a lot more vitamins.”

On her guilty pleasure:  “I like Doritos. I’m usually watching The Biggest Loser eating Doritos.”

On being a new working mom: “I used to work a lot because I had nothing better to do. What I’ve learned, especially by having a baby, is that you can’t bring that stuff home anymore. For example, I was alone filming ‘Monster’s Ball.’ I was married to someone else, and he wasn’t really around much. Thank God that was only a 20-day shoot.”

Halle has been busy shopping the past days.

What do two of the world’s sexiest actresses, a five-times Olympic gold medal-winner and my neighbours’ teenage son have in common? Halle Berry, Sharon Stone, Sir Steve Redgrave and young Will all have diabetes, yet none of them conforms to the stereotypical image of the overweight, ageing diabetic said to be responsible for a near doubling in the prevalence of the condition in the UK over the past decade. Indeed, they are living proof that you don’t have to be fat and middle-aged to have diabetes.

There are more than 2.5 million people in the UK with diabetes and probably another half a million who have the condition but don’t know it. While most are middle-aged and overweight, a significant minority is not – there are more than 300,000 sufferers under 45, many slim and outwardly healthy – a minority unlikely to be screened for the condition or to even consider that they are at risk.
